This Week: The University of Wyoming women's tennis team returns toaction this weekend against Air Force and New Mexico in ColoradoSprings. The Cowgirls will face Air Force at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday andwill take on New Mexico at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. The matches will bethe first of the season for Wyoming against Mountain West Conferenceopponents.

Cowgirls Fall to TCU 7-0: Wyoming lost to Texas Christian University7-0 Monday in Ft. Worth, Tex. Wyoming won one doubles match but wasswept in singles action. TCU, ranked #30 in the country, won two of thethree doubles matches to earn the one doubles team point. In the No. 3doubles match the UW team of Paulina del Monte and Toni Terhaar defeatedTCU's Leoni Weirich and Brenna Shackelford 8-6. But TCU won the othertwo doubles matches to earn the team point. In singles action theCowgirls were swept in the six matches. The closest match came at theNo. 4 singles spot, where Wyoming freshman Stacy Kneese lost to SaberPierce 3-6, 6-3 (11-9). The match went to the tiebreaker set, whereKneese fell just short.

Wyoming Loses to SMU 6-1: Wyoming fell to SMU 6-1 Thursday in Dallas,Tex. The Cowgirls won one singles match in the dual. Junior SofiEspinosa defeated Chrissie Terrill of SMU 7-5, 7-6 in the No. 3 singlesmatch for Wyoming's only team point. With the loss to the #50 Mustangs,Wyoming's season record is now at 4-7.
