UW's Morozova Earns WAC Women's Tennis Honors

University of Wyoming freshman Natalie Morozova, of Laramie, Wyoming, has been named the Western Athletic Conference women's tennis Athlete of the Week, for the week of March 28-April 3.

Morozova did not lose a singles or doubles match in UW's wins over Illinois State, St. Louis and Southern Illinois. She defeated Illinois State's Flor Karsai 7-5, 6-2, Saint Louis' Ingrid Habony 7-6, 6-2, and Southern Illinois' Pamela Flores 6-1, 6-2. Her overall singles record is now 15-10. She and partner Melanie Roberts also were undefeated in doubles. Their overall doubles record is now 12-12.

Also nominated for Athlete of the Week were: Tara Ferguson, BYU; Anna Nordel, San Jose State; Kacy Mitchell, Air Force; Anna Friganovic, New Mexico; Dora Djilanova, Fresno State and Anousjka Van Exel, Tulsa.
