LARAMIE, Wyo. -
University of Wyoming head tennis coach Kristen Hall today announced the signing of Carolina Chaix to a national letter of intent to attend the University of Wyoming beginning in the fall of 2006.
"We are extremely pleased with the signing of Carolina Chaix," said Hall. "She is an outstanding tennis player as well as a quality person with great character. Carolina has the ability to come in and contribute right away at the top of the line-up in both singles and doubles. With her commitment, dedication, and experience, we feel she will graduate with a lasting impression in the history of Cowgirl Tennis."

Carolina Chaix, Mexico City, Mexico (Thomas Jefferson HS):
One of the top high school players in Mexico, she has been ranked as high as fourth in the girls 18 and under category. She has played in several ITF tournaments, while at least reaching the round of 16 in each of those events. She has been coached by Alejandro Sandoval. She is the daughter of Carlos and Blanca Chaix.
"I'm excited about being a part of the Cowgirl tennis program," said Chaix. "I really enjoyed the campus and feel it can give be a great experience both academically and athletically."
This is the second signing for the Cowgirl tennis program and Coach Hall this year. During the early singing period, Sarah Summerfield of Chester, N.J. committed to the Cowgirls.
