May 3, 2013

The Cowgirl tennis team finished second in average attendance and seventh overall in season average during the month of March.

"We have the absolute best fans in the country," said head coach Dean Clower. "As a coach and student-athlete, it is so rewarding to play in front of the Wyoming crowd. We have the greatest following for tennis than any place I have been around. Thanks again to our fans for helping us make this such a great place to be at."

Wyoming averaged 204 fans (408 total) having attended matches for the month of March, which was second only behind the University of Georgia with 214. Of the three matches in February and March, the Cowgirls tallied 563 fans for a 188 average. That was fourth overall. Their largest crowd was 246 against Colorado State on Saturday, March 30.

The Cowgirls closed out the season last weekend at the Mountain West Championships in Colorado Springs. They went 11-12 overall and 4-4 in the Mountain West.
