LARAMIE, Wyo. -
University of Wyoming head tennis coach Pam Wildt today announced the signing of a student-athlete to a national letter of intent to attend the University of Wyoming beginning in the fall of 2005.
"Jamie's national exposure and experience and her patient style of play will be a perfect addition to Wyoming Tennis," said Wildt. "I look forward to coaching and developing her as a person and a player."

Jamie Nelson, Shreve, Ohio (Triway HS):
A two-time First Team All-Ohio and a Second Team All-Ohio selection while attending Triway High School in Shreve, Ohio. She was a conference and sectional champion for four years straight at the number one singles position, and placed in the Top eight in the state three times. Finished her career with an overall singles record of 128-11, and helped her team to a perfect 17-0 record as a junior. Nelson was also a four-time Team MVP and never lost a conference match during her high school career. She has been extremely involved as a junior competitor with the USTA since the age of eight, and has been ranked as high as 75th in the USTA Girl's 18 singles. During that time, she has also been the champion of the Girl's 18 National Open Doubles, the Interscholastic-West Doubles, and won both the singles and doubles Midwest Open National Championships. She has been coached by her father, Jim. An excellent student, she has been involved in several school activities. The daughter of Jim and Susie Nelson.
