The Mountain West Conference announced its 2001-2002 Academic All-Conference team today for the sports of men's and women's tennis. To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and be a starter or significant contributor to the team.
Fifty student-athletes earned MWC academic honors in 2001-2002 for the sports of men's and women's tennis. New Mexico and Utah had the most honorees with 10 each, followed by San Diego State with nine. BYU and Wyoming each had six, while the Air Force Academy and Colorado State round out the list with five and four, respectively.
