LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball Team (4-3 overall) took a break from regular season competition and played an exhibition match with Nova KBM, on Tuesday night, in Laramie. Despite taking a set from them, the Cowgirls would fall in four sets (24-26, 17-25, 25-20, 21-25).
"I feel like if we would have executed our game plan and had fewer errors we could have beat this team," said head coach Carrie Yerty. "I felt like Jodi (Purdy) had a great match tonight. She blocked great, did a nice job in the front row attack and was solid. It was great to see her whole game come together. I'm disappointed we had so many errors, if we get rid of some of those errors we will have greater opportunities to win."
The Cowgirls were led by junior Jodi Purdy with 13 kills and 12 digs to lead the way. She was followed by Tamara Kitic with eight kills and nine digs, while Erin Kirby added six kills and a match high eight blocks. Wyoming struggled hitting .030 (33-29-134) for the match.
