The Cowgirls went 2-0 over the weekend at home, as they defeated the UNLV Rebels and the Air Force Falcons.
Game one saw the Rebels take an early 7-3 lead, but Wyoming would go on a 6-0 run to regain the lead and the game. The Cowgirls would take game one 15-10. Wyoming dominated game two allowing the Rebels to score only five points, winning the game 15-5. The Rebels would come out fired up in game three taking the lead 8-4. The Cowgirls would try to make a comeback, but it wasn't enough as UNLV won game three 15-8. Game four saw the Cowgirls dominate by taking a commanding 12-1 lead. They would go on to win the game 15-7 and the match 3-1. The Cowgirls were led by junior middle blocker Jessica Zehr, who finished the night with 14 kills and 13 digs.
In the second match of the weekend, the Cowgirls hosted the Air Force Falcons. In game one, Wyoming dominated Air Force from the very first serve blanking the Falcons 15-0. Air Force tried to get back on track in game two scoring eight points in the game, but the Cowgirls would take the second game 15-8. Game three would see Wyoming comeback from being down 4-1 to take the lead. Wyoming would win the third game 15-6 and the match 3-0. The Cowgirls were led by sophomore middle blocker Melody Friehauf, who tallied six kills, two block solos and two block assists.
