University of Wyoming head volleyballcoach Susan Judge has announced the signing of a student-athlete to anational letter of intent to attend the University of Wyoming in thefall of 2000. Here is the signee:
Stefanie Snyder, 5-9, Setter, Alexandria, Minn.:
An excellent player,who comes to Wyoming after transferring from the University of NorthDakota. As a freshman at North Dakota, broke the single season assistrecord. A two-year captain and four year letterwinner at Jefferson HighSchool in Alexandria, Minn., Snyder helped lead her team to four CentralLakes conference titles and a state championship in 1995. She earnedAll-Conference honors four times and All-State honors twice, plus anall-tournament team selection at the state tournament. An excellentstudent, Snyder was a member of the honor roll. She was coached in highschool by Bob Huttlestad. Stefanie is the daughter of Ken and ShellySnyder. She chose Wyoming over several schools including N.C. State andUNC-Wilmington.
"Stefanie has a great attitude and is known for her leadershipqualities, something we always want in a setter. She comes from a verysolid high school and club background, and knows how to win. I know shewill compliment her supporting cast in the strongest ways. Stef has ayear of college under her belt, and I think her maturity will be apositive for our young team next fall"
