Dates for the 2013 Wyoming volleyball camps have been released by Head Coach Carrie Yerty and the UW volleyball program.
For individuals, UW will host specialty positional camps on Wednesday, July 17th followed by a Buckaroo Camp and an Individual Skills Camp from July 18-20. A competitive team camp will be offered Sunday, July 21.
The individual camp runs from Thursday, July 18-Saturday, July 20. All campers must be entering at least 6th to 12th grade. The purpose is to develop the fundamental skills of volleyball. Campers will learn strategies of offense and defense as well as specific positional training. The cost for the individual camper is $350 which includes room and board or a $275 for a commuter camper which does not include room and board.
Buckaroo Camp also runs Thursday, July 18-Saturday, July 20 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. It is for campers age 5-11 who will learn fundamentals and beginning skills of volleyball. This camp is for commuter campers only and the cost is $79.
The specialty camps are geared toward developing the specialized volleyball skills for setter, hitters and defensive specialists (libero). This camp will be on Wednesday, July 17, and runs from 1:30-3:30 and 5:30-7:30 p.m. All campers must be entering at least 6th to 12th grade. The cost is $100 resident or $75 commuter and does include dinner.
For the second year in a row, a High School Team Competition Camp will be offered on Sunday, July 21. The cost of the one day event is $109 per team. It will provide a tournament structure with a full day of competition and playing time, along with a coaching seminar conducted by the UW camp staff.
