Head volleyball coach Chad Callihan announced the addition of one student-athlete to attend the University of Wyoming.
"We're very excited to welcome Cori to the Cowgirl family," Callihan said. "She is a winner and will make our team better. Cori has a high volleyball IQ and will add depth to our setting and defensive positions. She is also a great student and fits the academic culture that our program embodies."

Cori Aafedt, 5-6, Setter/Defensive Specialist, Platteville, Colo. (Valley HS): A four-time letterwinner during her career in volleyball. She was a three-time First Team All-Patriot League selection and Honorable Mention All-Patriot League as a freshman. The past two seasons, Aafedt was named received All-State honors while being named a Team Captain and a participant in the CHSCA and CCGS All-State games. In 2012, she was selected the Weld Country Setter of the Year. She helped her team to four regional championships while winning Colorado 3A State Championship in 2012. Her team finished as the runner-up in 2014 and third both in 2011 and 2013. Aafedt was coached in high school by her mother Rene. Besides volleyball, she also was a three-time All-Conference selection in basketball. An excellent student, she was a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, Academic All-State, Superintendent Award honoree and the Student Body President. Aafedt is the daughter of Dan and Rene Aafedt and has one sister, Beth.
Aafedt is the fourth student-athlete in this year's recruiting class. She joins Reed Copeland (MB, Federal Way, Wash.), Mattison DeGarmo (OH, Castle Rock, Colo.) and Bayly Poor (OH, Jackson, Wyo.).
