The Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball team returns to Mountain West Conference action as they welcome the Colorado State Rams to Laramie, on Friday, Oct. 2. The match is slated for 7 p.m. in the UniWyo Sports Complex.

Wyoming enters the week with a 9-8 record overall and 0-3 in the MWC. The Cowgirls are currently led by freshman outside hitter Jodi Purdy who is averaging 3.51 kills and 2.40 digs per set. She is followed by Dani Bedore and Lauren Whitney. Bedore is averaging 2.37 kills and 1.72 digs, while Whitney is adding 2.25 kills. As a team, the Cowgirls are hitting .202 (821-374-2217) and averaging 12.44 kills and 12.98 digs per set.
The Rams are currently 11-3 overall and 3-0 in the MWC. They are led by Danielle Minch who is averaging 3.67 kills and almost one dig per set. Colorado State returns three starters and eight letterwinners to a team that went 23-7 overall and 12-4 in the MWC a year ago. This is 65th meeting between the two teams. CSU leads the series 47-18. The last time the two teams met was Oct. 24, 2008 as Colorado State defeated the Cowgirls 3-0 in Laramie. The Rams are coached by Tom Hilbert who is in his 13th season with the program.
