Wyoming's Roslund Named MWC Volleyball Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Wyoming middle blocker Jill Roslund earned Mountain West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors, marking her first overall award.

A 5-11 junior from Denver, Colo. (Denver Christian HS), Roslund paced the Cowgirls to a 2-0 record last week with victories over San Diego State and UNLV. She posted a season-high .650 hitting percentage (15k-2e-20a) and added seven blocks and an ace vs. San Diego State, helping Wyoming snap a six-match losing streak to the Aztecs. The next night, Roslund recorded a .600 hitting percentage (7k-1e-10a) with five blocks and an ace in the win over UNLV. For the week, she hit .633 (22k-3e-30a), while averaging 3.67 kills, 1.0 digs and 2.0 blocks per game. Roslund is seventh in the MWC in hitting percentage with .315 on the year.
