The Wyoming volleyball team will only play one match this week as they travel down to Fort Collins to take on the Colorado State Rams, on Wednesday, November 7. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.

In an unusual late-season break in Mountain West Conference play, the Cowgirls will not play another match until they host the Air Force Academy on November 16.
Wyoming enters the week with a 11-12 (.478) record overall and a 5-9 mark in MWC play after splitting with San Diego State and UNLV over the weekend. The Cowgirls are currently led by outside hitter Rachel Smith, who is averaging 4.61 kills, which is second in the MWC, and 2.41 digs per game. She is followed closely by senior Angie Hellbaum who is averaging 4.17 kills and 2.44 digs, while leading way with the .246 (363-140-908) hitting percentage. As a team, they are averaging 15.46 kills, 15.39 digs and have a .212 (1345-592-3559) hitting percentage.
The Rams are 17-5 overall and 10-2 in the MWC, while being ranked 18th in the AVCA Coaches Poll. They are led by Jaime Strauss who is averaging 4.22 kills and 2.32 digs per game. She is followed by Mekana Barnes who is adding 4.03 kills and 1.74 blocks per game. CSU returns five starters and seven letterwinners to a team that went 20-10 overall and 11-5 in the MWC a year ago. This is the 63rd meeting ever between the two schools. Colorado State leads the series 44-18. The last time the two teams met was October 13, 2007 as the Rams defeated the Cowgirls, 3-0 in Laramie. Colorado State is coached by Tom Hilbert who is in his 11th season with the program.
