With the 2016 Cowboy and Cowgirl basketball season openers approaching Wyoming Athletics began selling non-conference single-game tickets on Wednesday, October 19.
Fans may obtain detailed information on seat locations and can purchase single-game tickets to any of the Cowboy and Cowgirl non-conference basketball home games this season at GoWyo.com/tickets, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, by calling the Wyoming Athletics Ticket Office at (307) 766-7220 or by purchasing tickets in person at the Wyoming Athletic Ticket Office in UW’s Arena-Auditorium.
First Year head coach Allen Edwards welcomes back four starters and nine total letter-winners from last season’s team. Senior guard Jason McManamen emerged as one of the top three-point shooters in the MW and the NCAA last season, as his 44 percent beyond the arc ranked second in the conference and 15th in the nation. McManamen averaged 14.4 points per game last season. He will be joined by juniors Alan Herndon, Jeremy Lieberman and Jonathan Barnes.
Entering his 14th season at the helm, head coach Joe Legerski returns four starters and 11 letterwinners from last season’s squad. Hailey Ligocki, the Cowgirls’ lone senior, started in 17 games and averaged 4.3 points a season ago. Juniors Natalie Baker and Liv Roberts were solid contributors with 8.8 and 10.1 points along with 5.9 and 5.8 rebounds, respectively. Sophomore Marta Gomez averaged 10.7 points and 4.7 rebounds during her first season with the program.
New this season will be the “Big Game Pack” for Cowboy basketball that features five Saturday home contests and the “Border War” with Colorado State. The “Big Game Pack” opens with the Pokes’ matchup against NCAA Tournament participant Northern Iowa on Dec. 3.
