Traditionally, UW students have paid for postseason tickets for events held in Laramie. However, in appreciation for UW students’ great support during the season, and in consultation with the Mountain West Conference, Wyoming Athletics will be providing admission at no charge to all full-time (athletic) fee-paying University of Wyoming students. UW students can enter the game on Saturday the same way they would any regular-season event, by using the WYO Wild Bunch app on their mobile phone. Students who have not paid an athletic student fee this semester (required for full-time students, optional for part-time) must purchase a ticket like any other Cowboy fan.
Since the Championship game is operated by the Mountain West Conference, all parking must be purchased, including by Cowboy Joe Club members. Fans are highly encouraged to purchase a parking pass in advance when purchasing their tickets. Cowboy Joe Club members will be able to purchase a parking pass in their regular-season designated lot for $15, but only if they purchase parking by Friday. Non-Cowboy Joe Club members may purchase parking in advance on-line or through the ticket office for the Summit View and Brown Lots for $20. A limited number of parking passes will be sold at lot entrances the day of the game for $20 and are expected to sell out.
Mountain West Championship Football game-day parking will be enforced all day on Saturday December 3rd. For access into UW Athletics lots, fans will need to purchase and display a Mountain West Championship parking pass. Fans who plan on attending the men’s basketball game vs. Northern Iowa, but do not plan to attend the Mountain West Championship will be directed to park in designated lots.
Parking lots designated during the regular season for open container and tailgating activities, will again be designated as such for Saturday, Dec. 3. Traditional rules apply; all lots will open at 8 a.m. and the open container permit will begin at Noon. Fans who hold Tailgate Alley spots during the regular season or plan to drive an RV to the game, and would like to enter lots on Friday afternoon or evening, must call the Cowboy Joe Club in advance (307-766-6242).
The Pepsi Pre-Game Zone will also be running on Saturday in the Indoor Practice Facility. The free pre-game entertainment area will open immediately following the Cowboy Basketball game vs. Northern Iowa (1 p.m. tipoff in the Arena-Auditorium). The Pepsi Pre-Game Zone includes food & drink vendors, inflatable games, music, TVs with games from around the country, the Cowboy Joe Club tailgate and more.
