Sophomore (2013-14): Mikulski appeared in every event for the Cowgirls in her junior season, as she continued to be one of the Cowgirls most valuable distance swimmers. She scored valuable points for Wyoming in the 1,650 freestyle at the Mountain West championships finishing 12th in the event with a season-best time of 16:56.22. She swam a season best 5:03.48 in the 500 freestyle in a dual against UIC and Northwestern finishing third in the race. In the same meet against the Flames and Wildcats she placed second in the 1,000 freestyle with a season-best time of 10:16.39.
Freshman: (2011-12): Mikulski had an excellent true freshman season for the Cowgirls proving herself as one of the best young distance-freestyle swimmers. At the Mountain West Championships she finished the 1650 freestyle in 10th place, two places out of earning All-MW honors, with a time of 16:57.82. Also at conference, she finished the 500 free in 11th with a time of 4:53.63. Her best finishes of the season in the distance-freestyle events came at the Northern Colorado-Colorado School of Mines Triangular. She took first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:48.02 and touched the wall in second in the 500 free (5:17.04). At the Citrus Classic, she finished the mile race (1650 freestyle) in fourth place with a time of 18:05.24. She also finished the 500 free in fourth with a time of 5:13.94. She also had an excellent year in the classroom earning her first Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
High School: Mikulski joins the Cowgirls from Cypress Falls High School and CY-Fair (the Fleet) Swim Club in Houston, Texas. Mikulski swam two years of high school before joining CY-Fair Swim Club to compete year around. She was a swimming sectional finalist from 2009 to 2011. She also qualified for the NCSA in 2010-11. She not only excelled in the pool, but also in the classroom. She earned distinguished honor roll four years of high school and graduated National Honor Society.
Personal: Mikulski was born in Vista, Calif., on July 12, 1993. She is the daughter of Bruce and Gayla and has a younger brother, Nathan. She majoring in chemical engineering while at UW.
