Hartigan and Kalms earned Athlete of the Year honors

The senior set a career-mark in the 200 individual medley on her way to a second-place finish
Senior (2013-14): Fay closed out her career with the Cowgirls with one of the most consistent diving seasons in Cowgirl history. She earned All-MW honors on the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards and the platform diving event. Fay also qualified for the NCAA Zone "E" Diving Championships. At the Zone "E" Championship her highest finish came in the platform dive finishing in 23rd place with a tally of 2:04.05. She finished 30th in the event in the 3-meter dive with a score of 258.75. Fay had an outstanding MW Championship finishing seventh in all three diving events. She briefly set a school record in the platform event with a score of 229.23, as Kari Campbell later broke Fay's mark. She was named MW Diver of the Week on Jan. 29. She was outstanding on the boards for the Cowgirls against Colorado State setting a school and pool record in the 1-meter springboard with a tally of 325.95. Her mark in that event put her atop of the MW for the remainder of the season.
Junior: (2012-13): Fay was one of the leaders for the Cowgirl diving team during her junior campaign. She earned All-Mountain West honors in the 3-meter springboard, as she finished eighth with a score of 267.18, she also earned All-MW in the platform dive with a score of 225.21. At the NCAA "E" Zone Championships, Fay placed 17th with a personal-best mark of 559.40 in the 3-meter springboard. Amanda had an impressive showing against UNLV, as she finished in first-place in the 1-meter springboard with a personal-best score of 271.13. Fay also took first-place in the 3-meter springboard with a score 276.53.
Sophomore: (2011-12): Fay battled injuries during her sophomore season, but when she was available for the Cowgirls she dove very well. Her best finishes came at the Air Force dual. On the 1-meter springboard she took first place with a score of 258.83. On the 3-meter versus Air Force she finished third with a mark of 216.38. She missed most of the rest of the season due to injuries.
Freshman: (2010-11): Fay had a productive freshman season for the Cowgirls recording four top-five finishes on the diving boards. Against Northern Colorado she placed second on the 1-meter springboard with a mark of 258.75. She also placed fourth on the 3-meter against UNC. Her other top-five finishes came against Air Force when she placed third on both the 1-and 3-meter with marks of 252.90 and 218.85, respectively. Fay had an excellent year in the classroom earning Academic All-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete awards. She earned her first Cowgirl letter award.
High School: Fay had an excellent high school career, as she was named an All-State diver her sophomore, junior and senior years, as well as All-Conference her junior and senior years. She was a member of the three-time team state champions in 3A. She was named team captain her senior year and was given the most inspirational athlete award. In the classroom, she was a member of National Honor Society and was named student representative for NHS.
Personal: She was born Nov. 8, 1991 in Long Beach, Calif. She is the daughter of Jeff Fay and Linda Hanlon, and has one brother, Davis Fay. Her major is math education.
