Freshman (2013-14): Kelk saw limited action for the Cowgirls in her freshman season. She swam a season-best 24.89 in the 50 freestyle against Colorado State on her way to a fifth-place finish. Also against Colorado State she swam an impressive 54.87 in the 100 freestyle. Against Denver she swam a time 25 seconds flat in the 50 freestyle, as she finished seventh in the event.

High School: Kelk was a four-year letterwinner at Lakeland Union High School and joins the Cowgirls to swim sprint freestyle. She was a two-time team captain earning All-State her senior season. She was also an All-Conference swimmer and sectional champion. She was a state qualifier, All-Conference swimmer and sectional champion as a junior. In high school, Kelk was a Girls on the Run coach, participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters, was a volunteer at assisted living homes and participated in the Kids Against Hunger program.

Personal: She was born Aug. 28, 1994 in Rhinelander, Wisc., and is the daughter of Wayne and Ann Kelk. She has two sisters, Claire and Julia and her cousin Zach Zehner, wrestled at Wyoming. She intends to major in nutrition at UW. Kelk was also recruited by Illinois-Chicago and UW-Milwaukee.
