Distance Freestyle


Sophomore (2013-14): Patten appeared in three meets during her sophomore season with the Cowgirls. Against Colorado State she finished 11th in the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.05. She also competed in the 100 freestyle against the Rams finishing with a time of 58.26.

Freshman: (2012-13): As a freshman for the Cowgirls, Patten competed in a pair of meets for Wyoming. She recorded her personal-best against CSU in the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.05.

High School: Patten, a native of Littleton, Colo., joins the Cowgirls from Heritage High School where she was a four-year swimming letterwinner. She swam for head coach Tom Byorick as a distance freestyle swimmer. As a member of Heritage swimming team she earned the hardest worker award for the 2010-11 year. She also earned the Eagle Award for Character during her senior season of 2012. She also excelled in the classroom earning honor roll her senior year and a member of Heritage's Key Club all four years.

Personal: Patten was born in Littleton, Colo., on June, 13, 1994. She is the daughter of Theresa and Rick and has a younger brother, Patrick. She is majoring in elementary education while at UW.
