Junior: (2011-12): Fischer has established herself as one of the Cowgirls best distance-freestyle swimmers. Her best meet of her junior season came at the Citrus Classic when she took first in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:33.13. She finished second in the 500 free with a time of 5:07.51 at the Citrus Classic. She also helped the 400 freestyle relay to a second-place finish with a time of 3:37.88. In the final dual meet of the season, she finished second in both the 1000 (10:41.43) and 500 (5:12.84) freestyles. At the Mountain West Championships, she recorded one top-15 finish in the 1650 freestyle, touching the wall in 14th with a time of 17:11.44. Fischer also excelled in the classroom earning Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honors.

Sophomore: (2010-11): Fischer had a solid sophomore season for the Cowgirls' recording two top-10 finishes at the Mountain West Championships. Her best finish at the conference championships was in the 1650 freestyle where she placed eighth. Her top-eight finish earned her All-MW honors. Fischer's other top-10 finish came in the 500 free where she placed 10th with a time of 4:53.84. She also swam in the 200 free placing 15th at the MW Championships. Fischer swam very well for UW during the regular season. She placed first in the 200 free against Mesa State and in the 1000 free against Utah. She recorded three top-three finishes in the 500 free against UNLV, BYU and at the Nebraska-North Dakota triangular. She earned her first Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete awards. She also earned her second Cowgirl letter award.

Freshman: (2009-10): Fischer had a successful freshman campaign competing mainly in the 500 and 1000 freestyle. She placed sixth at the MW Championships in the 500 free with a time of 4:57.40. Fischer also recorded two first-place finishes in the 1000 free, the first at the North Dakota and South Dakota triangular, and the second at the New Mexico and New Mexico State triangular.

High School: Fischer broke three school records in the 200 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay while at Ralston Valley High School. She was named All-Conference her junior and senior years, and All-State her junior season. She competed at the Colorado State Championships two years and League Championships all four years. Fischer also swam for the club team North Jeffco. Fischer was named All-State Academic and Outstanding Academic Athlete freshman through senior seasons. She was an honor roll member every year, a National Honor Society member, and the valedictorian of her senior class.

Personal: She was born on May 12, 1991, in Denver, Colo., and is the daughter of Joetta and Jim Fischer. She has one younger sister, Kristina. She is majoring in chemical engineering while at UW.
