Senior (2013-14): Frey finished his career with the Cowboys on a high note earning All-Western Athletic Conference honors as a part of two relays. He was a part of the 200 freestyle relay that finished third in the event with a school record time of 1:19.55. Frey was also a part of the 400 freestyle relay team that placed third at the WAC Championship with a time of 2:55.84. Also at the WAC Championship he tied for 11th place in the 50 freestyle with a career-best mark of 20.38. Frey also hit a career-best time in the 100 freestyle at the WAC Championship placing 11th in the race with a time of 44.86. Frey finished the season with seven top-five finishes in his individual events.

Junior: (2012-13): Frey was one of the leaders of the Cowboys during his junior campaign after turning in a stellar sophomore season. He was a Second Team All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation selection after finishing seventh in the 50 freestyle with a personal-best time of 20.41. He also earned Second Team All-MPSF honors in the 200 medley and freestyle relays. Frey shined at the MPSF Championship finishing in the top eight in four events. He recorded three first-place finishes in duals against Air Force, North Dakota and Seattle, taking the top spot in the 50 freestyle (20.88), 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay. He swam a personal-best in the 100 freestyle at the Houston invite with a time of 45.07.

Sophomore: (2011-12): Frey was a stalwart for the Cowboys in the sprint freestyle events and on the relay squads. At the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, he helped three Cowboy relay teams to school-record swims. The 400-yard medley relay squad set a UW record and placed second with a time of 3:14.58. He also helped the 200 (1:20.80) and 400 (2:59.02) freestyle relay teams to second-place finishes and school-record times. In the sprint freestyle events, Frey took 11th in the 50 free with a personal-best time of 20.43. In the 100 free, he finished 16th with a time of 46.01. Frey earned Second Team All-MPSF honors in the 200 and 400 medley relays and in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. He swam well at the Houston Cougar Classic finishing in the top 10 of every event he was entered. He helped the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays to first-place finishes, while also aiding the 800 freestyle to second place. Individually, he took third in the 50 freestyle (20.74). He also swam personal-best times in the 100 freestyle (45.48) placing third and in the 200 freestyle (1:44.71) finishing ninth. Against Air Force, Frey also swam well for the Pokes, taking first in the 50 free (20.72) and third in the 100 butterfly (52.25). He earned his second Wyoming letteraward.

Freshman: (2010-11): After just one season as a Cowboy, Frey has shown he is one of the best sprint freestyle swimmers on the team, putting up the two fastest times in the 50 and 100 freestyle. He placed 12th at conference in the 50 and 100 free with times of 20.82 and 45.43, respectively. Frey's 50 free sits as the fifth all-time fastest time for the Cowboys and his 100 free is sixth. He played a very key role in the Cowboys 200 medley relay team placing fourth at the MW Championships. Frey not only had an excellent conference championship meet in the 50 free, he also recorded three first-place finishes in that event during the regular season. Frey also took home a first-place finish in the 200 free against Utah. He earned his first letter as a Cowboy. High School: Frey had an impressive high school career being named his school's Most Valuable Swimmer all four years of high school. His senior year he was named captain of his swim team, and he set the Region III record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.13. In the classroom, Frey was named a scholastic All-American his junior and senior years.

Personal: Frey was born Aug. 8, 1992 in Palmer, Alaska, and is the son of Douglas and Carolyn Frey. He has one brother Charles Frey. Frey is majoring in energy resource management and development at UW.
