Both Teams Sit In Third Place Of Their Respective Conference Championships

Junior: (2011-12): LeValley swam very well during his junior season establishing himself as one of the Cowboys leaders. At the 2012 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, his best finish came, in perhaps his best event, in the 400 individual medley taking third place with a personal-best time of 3:53.45. He also finished sixth at the MPSF in the 200 butterfly with another personal-best time of 1:50.06. The 500 freestyle was his final event of the championships taking 11th with a time of 4:31.46. For his efforts at the MPSF Championships he earned first team honors in the 400 IM and second team honors in the 200 butterfly. At the Citrus Classic, LeValley had his best event of the season finishing first twice and recording one second-place finish. He won both the 200 butterfly (1:56.71) and the 400 IM (4:07.15), while finishing second in the 500 free with a time of 4:47.50. At the Houston Cougar Classic, LeValley set a personal-best in the 200 IM of 1:57.73. At that meet he finished second behind teammate Brandon Fischer in the 400 IM (4:02.06). He also helped the 800 freestyle squad to second place with a time of 6:49.92. LeValley not only had an excellent UW swimming season, but also an excellent summer season qualifying for the 2012 U.S. Olympic team trials in the 400 IM. At the team trials, he swam a personal-best long-course time of 4:28.88 to finish in 56th place. He excelled in the classroom earning Academic All-MPSF honors, which was his third-consecutive academic all-conference honor. He also earned his third-consecutive Mountain West Scholar-Athlete award.

Sophomore: (2010-11): LeValley had a productive sophomore season for the Cowboys, placing in the top 12 in two events at the MW championships. He placed 12th in the 400 individual medley and 11th in the 200 fly. LeValley not only swam well in the 200 fly at the conference championships, but also during the regular season, placing second three times. LeValley also had an excellent two semesters in school, earning his second consecutive Academic All-MW and Scholar Athlete awards. He earned his second letter award at UW.

Freshman: (2009-10): LeValley competed well for the Cowboys as a part of the 400 relay team. Individually, LeValley swam his way to a top-five finish at the Mountain West Championships in the 400 individual medley, his time of 4:01.14 was good enough to put him in fifth place at the championships. He also placed 15th in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:53.44.

High School: LeValley had a great senior year of high school by winning the Washington State Championship in the 200 IM. He was also named the team captain his senior year and earned All-Conference. LeValley held high school records in the 200 IM, 100 backstroke, 500 freestyle, and 200 medley relay. He earned the high-point award and most inspirational three times at his high school. LeValley was selected Scholastic All-America in 2007, 2008, and 2009. He was a National Honor Society member and earned numerous local academic awards.

Personal: He was born Sept. 5, 1990 in Appleton, Wis. He is the son of Debra and Randall LeValley and has two younger siblings, Bryton and Jewel. He is majoring in chemical engineering at UW.
