University of Wyoming Cowboy divers Dalton Haas and Derek Campbell finished the second day of competition on Friday, at the NCAA Zone "E" Diving Championships at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. Freshman Haas made today's finals on the 1-meter springboard and finished in 17th place overall with a mark of 539.65.

"I was very pleased with how Dalton dove today," Wyoming diving coach Pat Bukowski said. "He was just one dive away from placing in the top 10 and that is amazing for a freshman. Derek also dove well today. I am happy with how both of my guys are progressing as the weekend goes on."

In the 1-meter preliminaries, Haas finished 17th with a mark of 273.90, which put him in the finals. Campbell finished the preliminaries one place out of the finals in 19th with a mark of 267.05. In the finals, Haas finished 17th overall (539.65).

The Cowboys will conclude the NCAA Zone "E" Championships on Saturday with the platform dive preliminaries at 3:30 p.m. MT. The platform finals will follow immediately after the preliminaries.
