Cowboy Diver Mark Murdock Punches Ticket To The NCAA Championships

During the final day of the NCAA Zone `E' Diving Championships, UW senior diver Mark Murdock punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships with a fourth place finish on Saturday in the platform dive.
"Mark really stepped up today," Wyoming diving coach Pat Bukowski said. "He did what he needed to do to get himself into the NCAAs. I am really excited for Mark he has worked hard all season to get here."
In the preliminaries Murdock dove well enough to place fourth with a score of 341.80, which secured him a spot in the finals. In the finals Murdock again placed fourth with a total score of 700.05 qualifying him for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
Murdock's finish gave him the eighth and final qualifying spot during from the Zone `E' Championships and he will be diving in the 1-and 3-meter springboard as well as on the platform at the NCAA Championships.
The men's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships will be held in Minneapolis on March 24-26.
