The 400 freestyle relay team of Marais, Birks, Kritzinger and Perica closed out the dual by swimming the fastest time of 3:10.94 but doing so as an exhibition.
"The guys had some really good events and there were some events we
need to improve on," said UW head coach Tom Johnson. "I thought
both of our relays were good, Gene (Birks) swam an awesome 200 fly,
Sam (King) swam a nice 200 back and Ron (Fogel) swam really well in
the 100 fly.
"This was a good dual to keep us swimming competitively before we head to Vegas in two weeks. That will be a big time meet and we need to be ready for it."
The Cowboys return to action as they join the women to travel to the UNLV Winter Invite in two weeks. The invite will run from Sat., Dec. 18 through Mon., Dec. 20.
