COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Wyoming junior Cowgirl swimmer Morgan Hartigan has been named Mountain West Swimmer of the Week for the week of Jan. 16, announced Wednesday by the conference office. It is her second MW honor of the season and the second of her career.

Hartigan, a home-state product of Cheyenne, Wyo., won four total events in the Cowgirls 195-105 victory against Denver on Jan. 12. She won both the sprint freestyle events touching the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.47. She also won the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.71. She led off both the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay helping both squads to victories with times of 1:44.66 and 3:33.34, respectively.
