Kalms Earns MPSF Weekly Swimming Honor

WOODLAWN, Calif. - Wyoming Cowboy swimmer Adam Kalms earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimmer of the Week honors announced Wednesday by the conference office. Kalms earned the first weekly MPSF honor of his career and the first for a Cowboy this season. Kalms, a product of Marmong Point, Australia helped the Cowboys to victory against Air Force (180-120) on Saturday, Nov. 10 winning three individual events and one relay. Kalms won the 100 freestyle with an MPSF-best time and the 26th fastest time nationally of 44.92. He also touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:39.17, which is the ninth-fastest time in the country and the fastest time in the MPSF. Kalms won his third individual event of the meet in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:54.19. He also led off the 200 medley relay that placed first with a time of 1:32.37.
