Fischer repeats the MPSF honor with three NCAA `B' cuts and winning every individual event he entered against SMU and Texas A&M at the Cougar Classic. He was also named as one of six collegeswimming.com's swimmer of the week honorees. At the Cougar Classic, Fischer took first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a `B' cut (1:55.75), which is the fastest time in the nation this season. He also won the 100 breast (54.91) with an NCAA `B' cut time that is 14th fastest in the nation and tops in the MPSF. He put up a third `B' cut in the 400 IM (3:53.76), with the third fastest time in Cowboy history which also ranks 13th in the NCAA and No. 1 in the MPSF this year. In the 200 IM (1:49.94), he was just a few hundredths of a second off another `B' cut, sweeping the prelims and finals. Fischer also helped the 200 medley relay squad to a victory (1:30.45), which is the sixth fastest time in school history.

"Brandon really picked up where he left off this summer," Wyoming head coach Tom Johnson said. "He is very hungry and is very driven. He really wants Scott's (Usher) school records and I know he is really working hard this year to break those. I have been really pleased with how he has swam this season."
