2010-11... Nine top-five finishes highlighted Bernabo's year in the sprints for the Cowgirls, and she also was a part of the team's 4-by-100-meter relay team that finished first three times. Earning her second letter, she was the team's top 60-, 100- and 200-meter dash runner last season, and will aim to hang on to that distinction this year.
2009-10... Bernabo's sophomore year was successful, as she set the Cowgirls' top marks in the 100-meter dash for the season and was second in the 200-meter dash. Her time of 11.95 ranks ninth in the UW outdoor record book in the 100 meters.
2008-09... Bernabo competed in the 60-, 100- and 200-meter dashes for the Cowgirls in 2008-09. Her best race came at the indoor Mountain West Conference Championships, where she ran a 7.90 in the 60-meter dash, her personal best.
High School... Bernabo was a three-sport athlete while at Wheat Ridge High School. She lettered in basketball one year, volleyball twice and track and field all four years. During her track career, she medaled 10 times at the 5A State track meet. She was a finalist in the 100-meter dash, the 200-meter dash, the long jump and the 1,600-meter relay in 2005-07. In 2006, she was All-State in the 200-meter dash. During the '05 and '06 seasons, she was the Region 1 5A Female Track Athlete of the Year.
Personal... Bernabo was born in Denver. She is the daughter of Paulina Delora and Paul Bernabo. She chose Wyoming because of the great pride, dedication and tradition in the athletic department. She intends on majoring in communication and hopes to someday work for MTV.
