2014-15: Indoors competed in seven meets...placed eighth in the long jump at the MW Championships...notched a personal-best leap of 23-6 1/4 in the event at the Rocky Mountain Classic on Feb. 20...also ran a personal-best 7.15 in the 60 meters at the meet...outdoors jumped in seven meets...placed 10th in the long jump and 12th in the triple jump at the conference meet.
2013-14: Focused on the long and triple jump...indoors top performance in the long jump was 22-9 1/4 at the Rocky Mountain Classic on Feb. 21...best showing in the triple jump was 45-2 1/2 at the MW Championships...also competed in the long jump at the conference meet...outdoors posted a mark of 23-2 1/2 in the long jump at the Cowpoke Open and 43-9 3/4 in the triple jump at the MW Championships...competed in both events at the conference meet.
Before Wyoming: Competed under coach Tom Wells at Lyman High School...as a senior won state titles indoors and outdoors in the long jump...won the Best of the Best Award at the outdoor state meet...earned all-conference and all-state honors indoors and outdoors...as a junior placed second at the outdoor state track meet in the long jump...as a sophomore finished third at the outdoor state track meet in the long jump...owned personal bests of 23-1 in the long jump, 46-1 in the triple jump and 11.3 in the 100-meter dash...on the football field earned all-conference accolades three times and all-state once...led his team to a state title as a senior...in the classroom was on the honor roll all four years...also a member of National Honor Society and student council.
Personal: The son of William and Cori Wingeleth...born on Jan. 19, 1995, in Salt Lake City, Utah...has two sisters, Megan and Ann...also recruited by the naval academy...majoring in physiology at UW.
