Brandon enjoyed a great indoor season by placing first in the 55-meter hurdles at the Shine Meet where he also competed in the high jump ... at the MW Championships, placed fifth in the heptathlon, which included a first-place mark in the 60m hurdles and second place in the pole vault ... his outdoor season was highlighted by a first-place finish in the long jump at the Tom Benich Invite and a first-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at the Snowball Meet ... finished sixth in the decathlon at the MW Championships and was also a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that placed first at the Front Range Invitational.
Douglass had his best season as a Cowboy hurdler, setting a UW record in the 60-meter hurdles at the MW Championships ... Douglass' time of 8.18 seconds in the event was good for seventh in the conference but was UW's fastest time in the event ever ... also finished eighth in the pole vault at conference ... won three events during the outdoor season and was one of the team's most versatile athletes, participating in jumps, hurdles and sprints ... received Academic All-Conference and Scholar-Athlete honors for his academic prowess.
Douglass had a very successful freshman season as a pole vaulter and a hurdler for the Pokes ... crowning achievement was setting the UW all-time indoor record in the 60-meter hurdles ... his time of 8.26 seconds eclipsed the old mark of 8.30, shared by Seth Billy and Jason Medearis ... also had the season's top mark in pole vault in indoor and outdoor track and was the team's top 55-meter hurdle performer ... won two meets in the 55 hurdles, taking first in the Power Meet (7.74 seconds) and in the Shine Meet (7.62) ... also finished second in the pole vault in the Power Meet, with a leap of 14'-6" ... finished eighth in the long jump at the MW Championships (22'-7") and fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.29.
Douglass came to UW from Kelly Walsh High School ... competed in the hurdles, jumps and pole vault ... during his junior season, earned the state championship in the 110-meter hurdles as well as the indoor 55-meter hurdles ... finished second in pole vault at the state meet twice, hitting a high mark of 15 feet.
