2010-11... Griesbach ran in all but one of the 2011 cross country meets, and was a steady presence for the Cowboys. His best finish came at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, when he crossed the line in 37th place. Griesbach also ran in the MW Championships and the NCAA Mountain Region Championships, finishing 29th and 68th, respectively.
2009-10... Griesbach earned his second letter as he kept up a solid pace throughout 2009, finishing 30th or better three times. His best finish was in the Wyoming Invitational, where he finished 21st with a time of 23:32. He finished 30th in the conference championships later in the year, with a time of 26:09. He also had the top time in 10,000-meter run for the Cowboys during the outdoor season, with a time of 33:18.05. He was named to his second Academic All-MWC team.
2008-09... During Griesbach's first collegiate cross country season, he was named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year for his 41st-place finish at the MWC Championship, tops among true freshman. Griesbach earned himself a UW letter for competing in six of the seven meets in which the Pokes participated. His best finish of the year was at the Wyoming Invitational, where he placed 21st with a time of 23:33 in the 6.8K race. In the classroom, Griesbach was awarded with Academic All-MWC honors, as well as an MWC Scholar Athlete award for his 4.0 grade point average.
High School... Griesbach was a three-time letterwinner in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. During Griesbach's cross country career, he was All-Conference twice, as well as being selected to the All-State team twice. He was voted team captain in his senior year and placed fourth at state. During the indoor season, he was selected All-State one time and finished the 4-by-800-meter relay in second place, as well as third in the 3,200-meter run his senior year. While competing in the outdoor season, he was a part of the 4-by-800-meter relay team that took third place at state his junior year.
Personal... Griesbach was born in Cheyenne, Wyo. He is the son of Randy and Lorna Griesbach. He is majoring in molecular biology and wants to work in the medical field in the future.
