Multiple Athletes Break Personal, School Records at AF Invitational

Teams show steady progression as indoor season moves along

Indoor: Competed at the MW Championships in the 800-meter run, finishing 11th in 2:20.06 ... earned a career-best 1:40.06 in the 600-meter run at the Power Meet and assisted the 4x400 relay to first place in 4:02.51 ... came in fifth in the 800-meter in 2:16.14 at the Holiday Inn Invite and helped the distance medley squad to first place in 12:02.38 ... placed third in 2:19:14 in the 800-meter at the Air Force Invite and helped the DMR to first place in 12:29.39 ... finished 10th at the Husker Invite in the 800-meter in 2:17.88 ... earned third place in the 800-meter in 2:18.68 at the AF Team Challenge.
Outdoor: Competed in the Cowpoke Open in the 800-meter run, placing second in 2:19.19 ... earned a career-best 2:16.46 in the 800-meter for fifth place at the Nebraska Quad ... finished second in the 800-meter at the Jack Christiansen Invite in 2:17.04 ... came in third in the 800-meter in 2:16.67 at the Fum McGraw Quad ... opened the outdoor season with a second-place finish in the 800-meter in 2:18.85 at the Tom Benich Invite ... named Academic All-MW and a MW Scholar Athlete.

Had a strong indoor season as she placed first in the 800-meter run at the Air Force Team Invite in 2:18.14 and helped the 4x400 relay to first place at the Power Meet in 3:55.11 ... was also a valuable asset to the DMR at the Air Force Invite and the 4x400 relay at the Shine Meet, helping the respective squads to first place ... during the outdoor season, placed fourth in the 400-meter at the Tom Benich Invite and competed at the MW Championships in the 800-meter for 11th place.

Earned her first letter as a Cowgirl, and set three personal records in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes ... finished 14th in the 400-meter at both the indoor and outdoor conference championships ... was among the top five on the team in three events ... named to the Academic All-Conference and Scholar-Athlete squad for her work in the classroom.

A valuable member of the Cowgirl sprint contingent as a freshman ... made her mark early on, posting the fourth-best time in the 100-meter dash at 12.82 seconds, and the third-best times in the 200 (25.82) and 400 (59.16) ... also fourth in the 60-meter dash with a mark of 8.03 seconds.

A three-year letterwinner in swimming while lettering twice in track and field ... selected all-conference in 2008-09, while her team won the Centennial League in 2009 ... academically, was on the honor roll from 2006-09 and was selected to the academic all-conference team as well.

Born in Memphis, Tenn., to Jane and Rick Heaston ... father played basketball for South Florida ... she has two older siblings, Parker and Taylor ... majoring in elementary education.
