Johnson enters his senior year as one of the top 800-meter runners in the MWC. He will look to regain his 800-meter crown that he earned two years ago in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Johnson also earned All-American honors in the indoor season and holds Wyoming's record in the 800-meters with a time of 1:48.3. He will be counted on to use his experience to lead the Cowboys and the coaching staff is excited to see what he can do during his final season. In 2004 he placed first in the 800 meters at the MWC Indoor and Outdoor Championships. This would secure his second consecutive season of earning All-Conference honors. Johnson was also a part of the 4x400 meter team that year that placed second at the MWC Outdoor Championships. At NCAA Indoor Nationals, he posted the eighth best time by an American to earn All-American honors.
