2007-08... Gretchen finished the 2007 Cross Country season at the NCAA Championships where she placed 116th out of 253 runners. During the cross country season she was selected as a second-team All-Conference member. During the indoor season she was selected to the All-Conference team for her second place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the Championships. While running during the outdoor season she was again selected to the All-Conference team for her third place finish in the 5,000-meter run. Last season she wrote her name in the record book twice, setting the indoor 5,000-meter record and setting the second fastest outdoor 5,000-meter run.

2006-07... Gretchen was selected as a second team All-Conference runner in cross country, she was UW's number one runner for most of the season. The 06-07 track season was one for Gretchen's personal bests in the 1,500m, 3,000m, 5,000m and 10,000m. She placed sixth at the Indoor MWC Championships in the 3,000m.

2005-06... A letter winner in both outdoor track and cross country, Johnson placed fifth at the Stanford Invite in the 5,000m race.

2004-05... Again, a letter winner in both outdoor track and cross country, Gretchen finished in 11th place at the Indoor MWC Championships in the 5,000m race.

High School... While at Sheridan H.S. Gretchen lettered four years in a row for both track and cross country.

Personal... Gretchen was born Feb. 20th, 1986 in Bismarck, ND. She is the daughter of Marty and Tim Fagley, and the wife of Jeremiah Johnson a former UW track star.
