UW athletes seek improved marks at midpoint of season
Select athletes perform well in Boulder, Colo.
2012-13: Competed in four meets during the indoor season...won the Power Meet in the 200 meters in 27.1...achieved a personal-best 26.26 in the 200 meters at the Air Force Invite to place 11th overall...ran a personal-best 8.16 in the 60 meters for fourth place at the Potts Invite...outdoors,competed in the 100 and 200 meters at the Cowpoke Open, placing seventh in the 100 meters with a personal-best 12.74 and seventh in the 200 meters in 25.88...came in sixth place in the 100 meters at the Tom Benich Invite to open the outdoor season.
2011-12: During the indoor season, competed at the Power Meet where she placed 10th in the 55 meters in 7.7 seconds ... her outdoor season was highlighted by helping the 4x200-meter relay to a second-place finish at the Air Force Relays in 1:43 ... at the same meet, she assisted the 4x400-meter relay to another second-place mark in 4:21 ... set a season-best 200 meters at the Front Range Classic in 26.1 seconds for eighth place.
2010-11: Had a solid freshman campaign for the Cowgirls, and was a contributor in the sprints ... competed in seven meets over the indoor and outdoor season, finishing in the top six in five events ... her best finish of the year came at the CU Invite where she finished sixth in the 200 meters.
Before Wyoming: A multi-sport star at C.M. Russell High School, garnered several honors for her performances on both the basketball and track teams ... her basketball career included being named a team captain and playing on several teams at the state tournament, and in track she was part of a first-place 4x400-meter relay team.
Personal: Born in Spokane, Wash., to Mark and Karin Striepe ... majoring in communications.
