2010-11... Miller continued his impressive run as the team's top distance runner despite nagging injuries. In the 2011 cross country season, he finished second in two meets. In track, he finished seventh in the 3,000-meter run at the indoor MW Championships. He set two personal records during the outdoor season in the 1,500- and the 5,000-meter runs. His career time in the 5,000 of 13:58.43 was good for fifth place at the MWC Championships. Miller also recorded four first-place finishes during the outdoor season. Miller earned Academic All-Conference and Scholar-Athlete status, the fourth time he has done so in his career, and was chosen as the most valuable athlete in track and cross country.
2009-10... Miller had some of Wyoming's best finishes of the season, but struggled with injuries and was forced to miss two of the five meets for the year. He started out with eighth- and seventh-place finishes in the first two meets. He came back to run at the MWC Championships, finishing 26th with a time of 25:43.
2008-09... A letterwinner during the cross country season, Miller competed in five events and finished 28th at the MWC Championships with a time of 25:56. Miller ran his personal best in the 8k race during the Montana State Invitational with his time of 25:26, good for 18th. Academically, Miller was named to the All-MWC team, in addition to his MWC Scholar Athlete award for his hard work in pre-pharmacy.
2007-08... During Miller's first year of competition, he competed in the 3,000- and 5,000-meter runs and the 3,000-meter steeplechase. During the indoor season, Miller finished seventh at the Adidas Classic in the 3,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 8:36.84. While competing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase he placed 16th at the Stanford Invite. For Miller's accomplishments in the classroom, he was awarded with a conference Scholar Athlete Award, as well as being named to the Academic All-Conference team.
High School... He was a four-time cross country Athlete of the Year, while earning the outdoor track Athlete of the Year in 2006. He was a member of the Canadian Junior National cross country team and the Canadian Junior National NACAC cross country team. He was the national champion in the 2,000-meter steeplechase at the Chase Legion 17 and younger National Track and Field Championships. Miller helped his team to provincial cross country championships in 2005 and 2006 and the outdoor high school track and field provincial championship in 2006.
Personal... Miller was born July 28th in Winnipeg, Canada. He is the son of Joan and Doug Miller and has one older sister, Amber.
