Berryhill Adds Two Student-Athletes to Track & Field Roster

Stephanie Wicksell and Kerry White Join the Cowgirls

2013-14: Indoors ran the 400 meters in 59.79 for 22nd at the MW Championships...only competed in two other meets indoors...outdoors posted season-bests of 24.87 in the 200 meters at the Cowpoke Open on May 3 and 57.77 in the 400 meters at the Long Beach Invite on April 19...competed in the 400 meters at the MW Championships, finishing 16th.

Before Wyoming: Competed at Die Hoerskool Menlopark High School under the coaching of her mother, Ilze, during her prep career...owned personal bests of 24.2 seconds in the 200 meters and 54.2 seconds in the 400 meters, while competing in several world competitions over the last several years.

Personal: The daughter of Ray and Ilze Wicksell...born on May 6, 1994, in Pretoria, South Africa...majoring in marketing at UW...her father, Ray, was raised in southern California and competed collegiately for Arizona State in the late 1970s, before going on to run in three U.S. Olympic Trials from 1980-88...Ray broke the four-minute barrier in the mile 24 times during his career...Ilze was the first South African woman to break two minutes in the 800 meters and still holds the country's record for the 1,000 meters, running 2:37.20 in 1983.
