UW Caps Action At MW Indoor Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - One University of Wyoming track and field record fell Saturday as the Mountain West Indoor Championships ended in Albuquerque, and the UW women finished eighth of eight teams with 27 points, and the Wyoming men were sixth of six teams with 38 points.Cowgirl results Freshman Shreese Daniels was sixth in the shot put, hitting 46-11; and junior Mollie Dahl was seventh, 46-7 ¼. Freshman Holly Page was 12th in the 3,000-meter run, 10:00.91; while junior Abi Bever was 18th in the 3,000, crossing the line with a time of 10:18.89. Sophomore Jenna Mann was eighth in the 60-meter hurdles, 8.95; and freshman Samantha Kee was seventh in the 200, 24.65. That was sixth in UW history. Sophomore Emily Moore was 17th in the triple jump, leaping to a mark of 36-3. The 4-by-400-meter relay was fourth with a time of 3:44.57, good for fourth all-time in UW history. Cowboy results Senior Taylor Kelting was fourth in the 3,000-meter run with an altitude-converted time of 8:17.86. That was fifth on UW's all-time list. Sophomore Garrett Zans was 14th in the same race with a time of 8:37.03. Junior Tyler Skinner was sixth in the high jump, hitting 6-6 ¼. Freshman Kyle Sullivan was 13th, 6-2 ¼. Junior Henry Ferreira was 13th in the shot put, 46-10. The 4-by-400-meter relay was sixth, 3:22.78. "Some of our kids did a nice job competing today," Wyoming coach Don Yentes said.
