Zowada Places Second at UNC Multi-Events

The University of Wyoming track and field teams completed competition at the Mike Bennett Decathlon/Kim Schiemenz Heptathlon Friday, at Nottingham Field, in Greeley, Colo.
UW's Bret Zowada finished in second place with 6,240 points. He finished first in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 5:03.93 to highlight the second day of competition. Zowada also finished second in the pole vault clearing 12' 1".
UW's Eric Suter finished in fourth place with 5,888 points. CSU's Ron Jett took first place, scoring 6,382 points.
Sophomore Ingvild Carstens was the Cowgilrs' top finisher placing sixth in the women's heptathlon with 4,223 total points. Junior Leah Burke took seventh with a point total of 4,1116.
Colorado State's Crissy Gourdin took the top spot in the women's field finishing with 5,136 points.
