WALNUT, Calif. - Hoping to secure NCAA qualifying marks with improved times and distances, multiple Wyoming track and field athletes achieved personal bests or UW Top 10 marks to complete the Mt. SAC Relays Friday in Walnut, Calif.

"It was a good day and the weather conditions were perfect," said Wyoming coach Bryan Berryhill. "I think we took advantage of several opportunities and we also got some tail wind behind us. We need to follow today up with even better marks tomorrow at the Beach Invite, so it's important that we come out and do what we've prepared to get NCAA qualifiers."

Jenna Mann, coming off a career-best heptathlon at the Cal Invite Combined Events in Azusa, Calif., achieved a personal-best 13.82 in the 100-meter hurdles, UW's sixth best all-time mark for the event. Her previous best of 13.95 was Wyoming's eighth-best time as she moved up two spots on the list.

Sophomore Holly Page competed in her first career 10,000-meter race late Thursday night and earned 28th place with a time of 36:04.64, which is Wyoming's second best all-time mark for the event as she topped Dodie Kocsis' 36:04.80 from the 1992 season. Page will run the 5,000-meter Open B race late Friday night at 11:30 p.m. MT.

Thrower Mollie Dahl placed 10th in the shot put at a distance of 47'-1.50," while Sam Kee and McKenzie Brogan earned personal bests in the 400-meter dash with respective times of 56.14 and 56.56. Kee's time of 56.14 was just three hundredths of a second beyond a UW Top 10 mark as she topped her previous best of 56.25.

Freshman Sabina Sandberg came in 11th in the high jump at 5'-5," while the 4x400 squad of Brogan, Kee, Taylor Gardner and Diana Long finished 10th in 3:45.81.

For the Cowboys, seniors Joe Plante and Mark Sparks performed well in the hammer with respective sixth- and 12th-place finishes. Plante threw a 194'-10," while Sparks earned a 187'-8."
