COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
Wyoming junior Jeremiah James has been selected as the Mountain West Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for his performance in last weekend's Robert Shine Invitational
James recorded the fourth-longest triple jump mark in MWC history to capture a first-place finish at the Robert Shine Invitational held in Laramie, Wyo., on Feb. 19. The Morne Fortune, St. Lucia, native lept a personal-best and provisional-qualifying 52'-6.00" (16.00m). His performance ranks second in Cowboy history and leads the league this season. The mark is also the 11th-best in the nation this year, according to TFRRS.org.
This is James' second career weekly honor and second this season.
