In their first exhibition game of the 2006-07 season, the University of Wyoming Cowboy basketball team defeated the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, 101-82 on Saturday night in Laramie.

The Cowboys were led by their guard duo of sophomore Brandon Ewing and junior Brad Jones. Ewing scored 32 points and dished out seven assists, while Jones contributed 23 points and nine assists. Newcomers James Spencer and Eric Platt each added 12 points to the Wyoming total. Sophomore Ike Okoye led the 'Pokes on the boards with eight rebounds.

UCCS received 29 points from forward Patrick Hannaway.

Next up for the Cowboys is another exhibition game this Tuesday, Nov. 7th versus Western State in Laramie. Tip is set for 7:00 p.m. MT. The regular season begins for UW on Saturday, Nov. 11th against Boise State in Laramie at 1:00 p.m. MT.
