LARAMIE, Wyo. - Josh Davis scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds, both game-highs, to lead Wyoming to a 94-74 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday.

Davis, an All-America candidate, added three blocks, three steals and two assists for Wyoming (1-1).

Marc Bailey and Ronell Mingo, who led a key second-half spurt, each had 12 points, while Paris Corner and Uche Nsonwu-Amadi added 11 apiece for the Cowboys.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-2) was led by Michael Balance and Thaddeaus Hackworth, each with 13 points. Don Fleming added 11.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff was within 12 at 66-54 after Brandon Jones' 3-pointer with 10:26 remaining.

Mingo then took over, scoring eight points and blocking two shots as the Cowboys scored 11 straight. His offensive rebound and layup with 6:47 to go put Wyoming up 76-54.

The Golden Lions could draw no closer than 16 the rest of the way.

Wyoming's big men, who had only 12 points in a 68-55 season-opening loss to Southern Cal, bounced back with 30 points against the smaller Golden Lions.

Wyoming led 45-31 after a 7-2 surge at the end of the first half.

Wyoming held a 52-28 rebound margin and outshot Pine Bluff 46 percent to 33 percent. However, the Cowboys' 3-point woes continued: Wyoming made only 2-of-17 from the arc, 12 percent.

Last year, Wyoming shot a school-low 28 percent from 3-point range.
