Cowboy Basketball Travels South to Face Air Force on Saturday Afternoon

After having the past week off, the Wyoming Cowboy basketball team will travel south this weekend to take on the Air Force Falcons on Saturday afternoon in Clune Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo. The game is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be televised by The Mtn.
A Look at the Matchup with Air Force:
The Cowboys will enter Saturday with an 8-10 overall record and a 1-3 mark in the Mountain West Conference. They have played their best basketball at home, where they are 8-3, but are still looking for their first road win of the season. Air Force is currently 10-7 overall and 1-3 in the MWC. After opening league play with a home win over Utah, the Falcons have dropped three straight games at BYU, at home to UNLV and at San Diego State. The Falcons are 8-2 at home this season.
Each Team's Leaders:
Senior Djibril Thiam and sophomore Amath M'Baye lead the Pokes in rebounding with 5.2 per game. Junior JayDee Luster leads the team in assists with 3.5 a game, which is the seventh most in the MWC. Air Force's roster features three players who are averaging double figures in scoring. They are led by sophomore guard Michael Lyons and his 13.0 points per game average. Senior forward Tom Fow is averaging 12.8 points a game and sophomore center Taylor Broekhuis is averaging 10.7 points. Washington also leads the team in assists with 3.5, while Broekhuis is the team's leading rebounder with 4.6 per contest.
