After having the past week off, the Wyoming Cowboy basketball team will travel south this weekend to take on the Air Force Falcons on Saturday afternoon in Clune Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo. The game is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be televised by The Mtn.

A Look at the Matchup with Air Force:
Both Wyoming and Air Force will be looking to break losing streaks this Saturday. The Cowboys have lost back-to-back games, while Air Force has dropped three straight games.

The Cowboys will enter Saturday with an 8-10 overall record and a 1-3 mark in the Mountain West Conference. They have played their best basketball at home, where they are 8-3, but are still looking for their first road win of the season.

Air Force is currently 10-7 overall and 1-3 in the MWC. After opening league play with a home win over Utah, the Falcons have dropped three straight games at BYU, at home to UNLV and at San Diego State. The Falcons are 8-2 at home this season.

Each Team's Leaders:
Sophomore Desmar Jackson is the Cowboys' top scorer and has finished in double figures in 26 of the last 29 games that he has played. He is the fifth best scorer in the MWC with a 15.5 points per game average. He also ranks second in the league in steals with 2.24 per game and is 20th in rebounding with 4.6 per contest.

Senior Djibril Thiam and sophomore Amath M'Baye lead the Pokes in rebounding with 5.2 per game. Junior JayDee Luster leads the team in assists with 3.5 a game, which is the seventh most in the MWC.

Air Force's roster features three players who are averaging double figures in scoring. They are led by sophomore guard Michael Lyons and his 13.0 points per game average. Senior forward Tom Fow is averaging 12.8 points a game and sophomore center Taylor Broekhuis is averaging 10.7 points. Washington also leads the team in assists with 3.5, while Broekhuis is the team's leading rebounder with 4.6 per contest.

Thiam Needs Just Four More Blocks to Join UW's All-Time Top-10 Shot Blockers:
Senior Djibril Thiam is close to entering his name among the top-10 shot blockers in Wyoming history. During his two and a half-year career, he has blocked 76 shots. He enters Saturday's game needing just four more blocks to reach UW's all-time top 10.

Cowboys and Falcons Will Meet for the 101st Time:
This Saturday's meeting will be the 101st between Wyoming and Air Force. The Cowboys won 71 of the first 100 meetings and have won 33 of the last 44 meetings. Since the formation of the MWC, the Pokes lead 15-11. In games played at The Academy, Wyoming has posted a record of 29-17.

Cowboys and the Injury Bug:
There is no doubt that the injury bug has hit the Wyoming Cowboys this season. Of the 12 players who are eligible to play (Rob Watsabaugh and Leonard Washington are redshirting), a total of six have missed at least one game this season. The Cowboys have had players miss a total of 37 games this season. Two players are out for the season in juniors Luke Martinez and Afam Muojeke. In addition, only two Cowboys have played in all 18 games, Francisco Cruz and Amath M'Baye
