Junior College: Albert Perez comes to Wyoming from East Los Angeles Community College. He earned First Team All-Conference honors as a center both his freshman and sophomore seasons at East Los Angeles CC. As a sophomore, he helped lead his team to a conference championship. His junior college coach was Steve McJarro.

High School: Perez played his high school football at Schurr High in Montebello, Calif. Both his junior and senior years of high school, he was named First Team All-Almont League, was selected as the Almont League Lineman of the Year, was selected First Team All-Mid Valley and earned First Team All-CIF honors. In addition to playing offensive line in high school, he also played on the defensive line. His senior season, he was credited with 88 tackles and 15 sacks. As a junior, he made 69 tackles, had five sacks and forced two fumbles. He played for head coach Marco Ramirez at Schurr High.

Personal: Born June 30, 1992, he was also recruited by Arkansas State, Florida Atlantic, Florida International and Louisiana Tech. He is pursuing a degree in communications at UW.
