High School: Brown earned First Team All-District 16-5A honors as a senior at Leander High School in Leander, Texas. Class 5A is the largest classification in the state of Texas. As a team captain, he helped lead Leander High to an 8-4 overall record and a 6-0 conference record as it advanced to the State Playoffs. Leander defeated Austin (35-14) in the First Round before losing to Westfield (7-13) in the Second Round of Region 2 in Class 5A. His junior season of 2010, Brown was a Second Team All-District selection, as his team posted a 7-6 record. As a sophomore, he was an Honorable Mention All-District honoree, and his team recorded an 8-4 season. He also earned Academic All-District honors his sophomore, junior and senior years in high school. He played for head coach Clint Harper. Personal: Born Jan. 30, 1994, he is the son of Cecilia and Cory Brown and has eight brothers and sisters. He would like to study business in college. Brown was also recruited by Arizona, Houston, Kansas State, North Texas, SMU, TCU and Tulsa. |
