UW This Season: A solid freshman season bodes well for Daniel Sullivan this year, as he will return as the starting place-kicker for the Pokes. The coaching staff placed more trust in him as the year went on, and he enters the fall with confidence after a strong spring season.

2011: Sullivan played in all 13 games for the Cowboys handling almost all of the kicking duties. He handled the kicking duties full time since Sept. 10 against Texas State. For the season he made 7-of-11 field goal attempts. His best kicking game came against TCU on Nov. 5 when he made 2-of-2 field goals with a career-long 48-yard kick. He also made 30-of-34 (.882) PAT attempts on the season. He ranked fourth in the Mountain West in field-goal percentage and earned Academic All-Conference honors.

High School: Sullivan was selected by the Associated Press as the First Team All-State place-kicker for Class 4A his senior season -- Class 4A is the largest classification in the state of Washington. Sullivan converted 8-of-10 field goals and 43-of-44 point after touchdown attempts his senior season at Jackson High School. His long field goal on the season was 49 yards. In addition to earning All-State honors, he was also an All-Area and All-Conference selection. His junior season, he was part of a 10-1 team that advanced to the district finals of the state playoffs. He was a First Team All-WESCO league selection as a junior, making 6-of-9 field goals, including a long of 46 yards, and 52-of-54 PATs. He started as a sophomore, earning Honorable Mention All-WESCO honors while converting 5-of-8 field goals and 40-of-42 PATs with a long field goal of 42 yards. Sullivan also lettered three years in soccer and was a team captain of his soccer team. He played for head football coach Joel Vincent.

Personal: Born Nov. 11, 1992, he is the son of Palma and Bill Sullivan and has two younger brothers, Markus and Christofer. His grandfather, Jerry Sullivan, played college football at Samford University in Georgia. He also had two uncles play college football at Auburn -- Joe Sullivan and 1971 Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan. Sullivan was also recruited by Air Force, Boise State and Washington. He has not decided on a major at UW.
