UW This Season: Sam Hardy has the protypical size for a defensive lineman, and he will work hard to try to see some time on the field.

High School: Hardy was a First Team All-Mission League selection at Chaminade College Prep as a senior. He helped lead the Eagles to the semifinals of the 2011 CIF-Southern Section Western Division Playoffs before losing to eventual champion Arroyo Grande by a score of 36-45. Chaminade Prep finished the season with a 10-3 overall record and a 4-1 conference mark, placing them second in the Mission League. Hardy recorded 69 total tackles on the season, including seven sacks. He was voted a team captain as a senior. As a junior, Hardy earned All-City honors, while leading Chaminade to an almost identical season as his senior campaign. The Eagles advanced to the Semifinals of the 2010 CIF-Southern Division Playoffs, just as they did in 2011, and the Eagles posted a 10-3 record in 2010. He played for head football coach Ed Croson at Chaminade Prep.

Personal: Born March 1, 1994, he is the son of Rosalena Brown and Samuel Hardy. Hardy would like to study communications and someday become a sports color analyst. He has two older sisters, India and Carknisha. Hardy was also recruited by BYU, Colorado State and New Mexico State.
